Loyalsock Creek Valley Pipeline Corridor

Despite a decade of natural gas development in the surrounding area, the Loyalsock Creek has so far maintained its scenic beauty.  Now Pennsylvania General Energy LLC seeks to install a natural gas pipeline and a water withdrawal/water line across the Loyalsock Creek on both public and private land, threatening to fragment the creek’s steep forested mountain slopes and destroy the natural beauty of this popular recreational area. This project will set a dangerous precedent for the entire Loyalsock Creek river valley  if construction is permitted to proceed.

Loyalsock State Forest, Clarence Moore Lands

Surrounded by increasing natural gas development on both public and private lands, the ecological, recreational, and current economic value of the relatively unfragmented forests of the Clarence Moore lands demand its preservation for future generations. The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has the ability to deny access to drilling in 18,870 acres of the Clarence Moore lands through a unique legal provision in the deed, but seems unwilling to exercise this option.
